Oh what goes on behind the scenes of a political race! This quick and entertaining read was exactly what i needed to quench my romatic thirst and of course the scandal is always fun to have play out at the same time! I highly recommend this read from Sara Celi - all of her works are outstanding!
I loved this story! It gave me a sexy side of Politics at a time that we are struggling with our current election. I felt like the story could be compared to the show Scandal and that alone is a reason to read this book!
I like the initial idea and the "inside politics" feel, but I found it hard to find trust Patrick. I think a longer piece would have provided more depth for the characters and room to wrap the his up better..
Overall, fun, quick read.
This was a quick read and if had continued a little further I could have maybe given it a higher rating. I feel like Patrick is a typical politician which means if he isn't kissing babies he is stealing their lollipops. I think Alex is a sucker for believing in him. This book has lots of twists and turns which I really like but not the HEA I like in my books. I realize this is only part one but I'm not even sure I will read part two and I hate leaving things open ended. I was just disappointed in this book (
Patrick is a young and upcoming senator running to be the party's nomination for President. Alex is his PR guru. Whilst sparks fly between them Alex knows they keep their relationship professional to avoid any hint of a scandal. Patrick, it seems, didn't get her memo.
Whilst I liked Alex and her ability to do her job whilst maintaining boundaries, I struggled to like Patrick. When we see him through Alex's eyes he seems a breathe of fresh air standing against the political establishment. The reality is very different for me and it is hard to tell if he is genuine or what he really wants. I wished that this was longer and set over a longer time period as this might have helped with this perception.

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I am not into boring politics, however this book is not boring at all. There are twists and turns In every direction. I couldn't stop turning pages fast enough. The author did an amazing job with not only the politic side of things, but the dirty laundry of the candidate as well as the sexual side of things. I definitely recommend this book, even if your not into politics. The author must have done a lot of research as the politic part of the story is spot on.
With the election going on the hype on political romances has been huge. I love political romance I always have even when the election isn’t happening. When I saw that Sara Celi was coming out with Primary Season I was so excited to sign up to review it. The story its self was well written and had a lot of twists and turns. Sara Celi did a great job with the political side of the story also. There was so much information that keeps you invested in the book. There were times I did find it hard to connect with the characters. But there was always away to reel me back in. Over all I would recommend this book to anyone who likes romance. Even if you are not into politic it’s still worth a read. This was my first book by Sara Celi and I will be going back to read more from her.
